Eastside of Los Angeles from 1920 to 1965, focusing on the
generation of African Americans who grew up along along the
Central Avenue corridor during its heydey as a jazz mecca
and a thriving commercial center. Experience the stories of
these African American families whose daily lives revolved
around the businesses, churches, and homes of the Central
Avenue corridor.
Historian
and retired judge, William C. Beverly, Jr., is the creative
force behind this important documentary film. Judge Beverly
is founder of Eighth & Wall Incorporated.
